About this book
Moody takes the question a plain way: if prayer is answered, why is so much of it not? Eleven chapters work through adoration, confession, restitution, thanksgiving, forgiveness, unity, faith, petition and submission, each illustrated from the prayers of the Bible.
About D. L. Moody
Dwight Lyman Moody (1837-1899) left a shoe shop in Boston for Chicago, where he built a Sunday school in the slums that grew into a church. He preached to crowds across Britain and America for thirty years without ever being ordained, and founded the schools that became the Moody Bible Institute. He had little formal education and never pretended otherwise.
